Every year National Testing Agency (NTA) conduct NEET UG examination all over the India for the selection of the medical students in both the government and private medical colleges. This year also NTA is all set to conduct the this year also NTA is all set to conduct the pre-medical entrance test (NEET) on 5th May, 2024. So less than 15 days are left for the examination. So students are advised to gear up their preparation.
Is NEET 2024 postponed : Right now due to ongoing Loksabha election in all over India a confusion has been created among a large portions of medical aspirants about the conduction of NEET UG examination on the previously declared date. Till now, NTA has not made any official statement regarding the postponement of Neet 2024 examination.

Over 25 lakhs applicants are going to appear in NEET 2024 which is near about 1.5 lakhs higher than the last year. This year lok sabha elections are scheduled to be conducted in 7 phases across the country from 19th April to first June. The results of Loksabha election will be declared on 4th June, 2024. There are concerns about clash of Neet examination date with election date. There is election schedule on 7th May. But there is no election of the 5th May, the previously declared date of Neet 2024.
As there is no possibility of the clash of Neet examination and poll day, NTA will possibly go with the previously declared date. Earlier NTA chief Mamidala Jagdish Kumar stated that there will be no change in the exam schedule of NEET UG 2024.
